The Universal Wireless Communication Co., Inc. was a Buffalo, New York, USA business from 1928 to June 1930. The firm was authorized by the Federal Radio Commission to create the first nationwide telegraph message system.〔''Universal Wireless'', Wall Street Journal, June 24, 1930, pg. 11.〕 The company was incorporated under Delaware laws in August 1928. The Federal Radio Commission authorized the construction of two 10,000 watt stations in New York and Chicago, Illinois, to experiment on three shortwave channels.〔''Buffalo Briefs'', Wall Street Journal, August 22, 1928, pg. 14.〕 The corporation filed an involuntary bankruptcy petition in Federal District Court in Chicago. It was sued for US$10,000 by the Dubilier Condenser Co., and by the Radio Corporation of America.
